Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) notice

What we are, what we aren’t, and how that protects you.

Last updated 1 October 2026.

We are not a lender or a broker

Warm Homes Loan Guide is an information service run by Opus Leads Ltd. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We’re also independent of the government: this isn’t a government service, and we’re not part of the Warm Homes Loan Scheme. We don’t lend money, we don’t arrange or broker credit, and we don’t introduce you to lenders.

This isn’t financial advice

Our check tells you how the published Warm Homes Loan Scheme rules apply to the upgrades you describe. It doesn’t consider your finances, and it isn’t a recommendation to borrow. A result of “In scope” means an upgrade is an eligible measure under the rules. It doesn’t mean you’ll be offered a loan.

Lenders decide

Warm Homes loans are offered by lenders approved by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and authorised by the FCA. Each lender runs its own credit and affordability checks and sets its own rates and terms. We never show interest rates, approval odds or quotes for credit.

Links to lenders

Where we link to a lender, it’s so you can read about its products on its own site. You choose whether to follow the link. We don’t pass your details to lenders, and we aren’t paid when you apply.

Checking a lender

Before you apply, you can check any firm on the FCA’s Financial Services Register. If you need help with debt or deciding whether to borrow, MoneyHelper offers free, impartial guidance.

Installers

If you ask for an installer quote, we pass your details to installers certified by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). Opus Leads Ltd may be paid by installers for marketing services. That never changes what our check tells you: the result comes only from the published rules.
